God bless you for your instant response. It’s truly a good charity for homeless people like us. Not like a few other organizations, to do show-off as charity to get funding from public and government. Please would you be able to send more sim cards and phones if available please – we are resettling at pace in Cornwall, I had the joy of welcoming a family into their new home just last week and the difference to the family who arrived without a useable simcard was huge – to be able to contact family still in camps abroad and set up their lives from day one is huge – we cannot access benefits and support without that level of connectivity,Thanks for enabling this its huge! Hi Chris. Just wanted to send a message to say thank you once again, having the phone means I can keep in touch with my family and keep them updated. This has been the roughest time in our lives and with your kindness youve helped so much, i will never be able to thank you enough. Client B has been given a smart phone as she only had a very basic one previously. She uses it to watch her favourite videos in her free time, as well as to access Home Move – an account through which she can start bidding for her own council property. Client B can also easily access her bank account through an app and manage her daily life better using the smart phone as she doesn’t have a laptop or computer. Client B is in an on-and-off relationship with her partner and there are concerns around domestic abuse. The smart phone has given her more independence as she had been previously using her partner’s smartphone to access the internet. Client A has been known to rough sleeper services in Brighton for over 5 years. Over that time, he has had limited and unclear entitlements to public funds due to his immigration status. This has left him digitally excluded without the finances to afford a smartphone, tablet or laptop for example. Through support via Simpal, the Street Outreach Service were able to provide Client A with a smartphone which he was delighted with. He was excited to use the phone to listen to his favourite music (Bob Marley) and to use social media to reconnect with his family abroad. He is receiving ongoing support to regularise his immigration status in the UK. I received the phone and sim this morning, and all set up, my son organised it for me, honestly can’t thank you enough. Just wanted to say an amazing service as nothing like this exists,. The person I am supporting is over the moon, she will now be able to keep in touch with friends and family back home and help her improve her wellbeing and mental health. She feels so isolated and this will make such a difference so thanks . Chris made the process so easy and with kindness and not having people jump through hoops for help.
