Young People’s Caseworker, Halton Borough Council

I applied to SimPal for a phone and sim card for a young person I am working with. The family are in great financial strain, and would not have been able to make money stretch to be able to purchase a phone. This young person was really socially isolated, and was about to start college. During my involvement, there has been a number of things that he has required a phone for including enrolment at college, a bus pass and a local authority gym pass iniative. Therefore, the impact for this young man has been huge. He was both socially and digitally excluded before we got help from SimPal, and he was so grateful to get one.
